The Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center is bidding to become the new home for urban music in Atlanta

The Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center is bidding to become the new home for urban music in Atlanta. The season kicks off with an incredible evening of music and dancing this summer at “An Evening Under the Stars Blues Festival“. The event, formerly held at Wolf Creek Amphitheater for many years, aims to help replace the sense of community lost by Wolf Creek’s recent move to Live Nation and their higher ticket fees.

Riverdale Town Center has a slightly smaller capacity (around 3000) and full concessions, offering both food and alcoholic beverages for concert-goers enjoyment.

More events are expected to be announced at the venue soon.

The first event, hosted by MC Lightfoot, and presented by Twilight Productions 2 stars:
* Sir Charles Jones
* Theodis Ealey
* T.K.Soul
* Terry Wright
* Bishop Bullwinkle

The “An Evening Under The Stars” series previously saw artists such as Fantastia, Johnny Gill and Musiq Soulchild take the stage in past years.

Please note: Parking is FREE for this event and patrons are allowed to bring their own food and drinks in one (1) personal cooler NO LARGER than 15in (W) x 11in (D) x 12in (H).

Tickets to this and all other Riverdale Town Center events are on sale at TicketAlternative.com.

Wolf Creek Amphitheatre’s move to Live Nation has not been a smooth one so far. Their audience was used to an exciting announcement in early spring of a season’s worth of shows but there are currently only two events scheduled for the venue this year.  Wolf Creek Amphitheatre experienced another set-back this week (according to the AJC) when Fulton County commissioners failed to approve a liquor license in time for its first show, Funk Fest.
