Atlanta Has A New Song Plugger In Town; Tunefruit Opens Its Doors To Musicians

By Eileen Tilson/ @tktalt_tn

I cannot tell you how many times I have musicians asking me how they can get their music placed. It seems like every week I have some musician hungry to figure out just how to get that almighty placement in some cool commercial, film, etc. Well for those of you who are not signed to some big bad label with a team pushing your music, here is an alternative. Tunefruit is a brand spankin’ new Atlanta based company designed for the DIY musician. Tunefruit is a modern music marketplace – a site connecting a wide variety of content contributors with all sorts of end-users.  In the old days (like last year) this type of site was referred to as ‘Royalty Free’ or ‘Production Music.  They prefer to call what they offer you ‘Micro Licensing’… it’s more web 2.0, and appeals to our hipster sensibilities.

After submitting your music, Tunefruit has a team of curators that review the submissions for quality. So what happens if you get placed? They split the profit 50/50. Not bad for an up and coming musician.
