Gladys Knight complimentary trolley service at Sweetland Amphitheater

The Chamber is examining the issue of public transportation options for our community and is offering a complimentary trolley service for Gladys Knight concert goers on Friday night (and the remaining performances in the Sweetland Summer Concert Series) to see if our residents and visitors are willing to participate.  Two trolleys will be circulating along a seven-stop route.  Stops will be marked with reflective bollards and “trolley stop” signs as noted below.

The trolley service will begin at 6 pm and run through 11 pm.  Although targeted to guests in our local hotels, anyone may ride the trolley.  Please observe any parking rules and exercise caution when walking to the stop.  The trolleys will pick-up/drop-off only at designated stops.  And note that no alcohol will be allowed on the vehicles!

Here’s the route:

  • Stop 1:  Corner of Cotton Road and Lafayette Parkway (across from Comfort Inn & Suites)
  • Stop 2:  Hoffman Drive (between Baymont Inn/LaQuinta Inn)
  • Stop 3:  Wingate by Wyndham parking lot
  • Stop 4:  Lafayette Garden Inn parking lot
  • Stop 5:  307 Church Street for Sweetland Amphitheatre drop-off/pick-up
  • Stop 6:  In front of Courtyard by Marriott
  • Stop 7:  Corner of Bull and Main at 234 Main (for Wild Leap access)
Trolley will travel up Main to Lafayette Parkway for return trip.

Please help spread the word.  We hope the number of riders will increase throughout the summer, and we hope to add stops at the Hampton Inn and Great Wolf Lodge for the next concert. A huge thank you to our Chamber for providing this service!
