Live Review and Picture Book: The Whiskey Gentry at Smith’s Olde Bar, July 12, Night 1 of a 3 Night Performance

Photos and Review by Codi Glancy

Remember last year when The Whiskey Gentry put out “Please Make Welcome?” If not, let me refresh your memory, they put out the album, they played two sold out nights at Smith’s Olde Bar, and they kicked ass! This special event was called “Twang-On” and if you were lucky enough to get a ticket, you probably left thinking; “How could what just happened be topped?!” Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the wonderful lady and gents of our beloved 6 piece topped it!

“Twang-On 2” started last night and will continue through Saturday and this year’s line up is even better than before! Last night, Seven Handle Circus and High Strung String Band accompanied the Whiskey Gentry, playin amazing Americana/Country/Bluegrass music to a more than excited crowd of movers and shakers! Tonight will include Have Gun Will Travel and Waller and Saturday’s line up will include Radiolucent & Black Iron Gathering. Based on last night’s turn out; the next few shows are sure too not disappoint! Make your way over to Smith’s for a few drinks and some good ole’ jams!
