Mastodon – Once More ‘Round The Sun

Once More ‘Round The Sun is the sixth studio album of this metal band. Critics have already been reviewing it as one of the best the Atlanta band has ever put out. Ed Sheeran – X

Don’t get it twisted- this album is pronounced “multiply,” not “x”. And it is the highly anticipated second album of English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran. You can order the album here. Or you catch Ed Sheeran live at The Arena at Gwinnett Center on September 12th.

 

Phish – Fuego

After 5 years without a new album, legendary jam band Phish is finally releasing their twelfth studio album. This 10 track album has been not-so-patiently awaited by Phish fans since the band debuted 7 of the 10 songs from the album on October 31, 2013.  Check out some of the new music and order here.

 

Vacationer – Relief

Since their debut in 2012, this Philadelphia-based band has been gaining traction. Their newest LP, Relief, is “clear with in both title and intention” as the band’s facebook states. The LP is available for download on iTunes and more information about the band is available on their website.

 

Phox – Phox

This self-titled, debut album has been highly anticipated as this band has been hitting the festival scene hard. For more information on Phox, check out their website. Strand of Oaks – Heal

This band has earned quite a bit of momentum in the alternative scene lately, thanks to their song “Reverse.” Check out more of what this artist has to offer on their website, which feature tons of videos and music. This is one album we’ll certainly be keeping an eye on.

 

People Get Ready – Physiques

This Brooklyn based quartet has been getting quite of bit of attention from some big publications. Bob Boilen of NPR said this about Physiques, “part rock concert, part performance art, part dance, all perfectly melded together.”  Get more information on the band and the album here.

 

Black Bananas – Electric Brick Wall

Electric Brick Wall,  brought to you by Drag City, is the latest album from the four-piece band, Black Bananas. Jennifer Herrema, the band’s front lady, first earned fame with the band Royal Trux, but after breaking up in the early 2000’s, Herrema formed Black Bananas as her next musical venture. Xeno & Oaklander – Par Avion

This Brooklyn based duo has been writing together since 2004 and after a decade of writing together they’ve gotten pretty good at it. The twosome has toured around Europe and the United States many times. Right now they focus exclusively on the New York area, so don’t expect to see them in Atlanta anytime soon.
