The Devil Wears Prada brings signature metalcore to Masquerade Nov. 5

Having summered on the Mayhem Festival Main Stage, The Devil Wears Prada is set to bring its signature metalcore to Masquerade in Atlanta on Thursday, Nov. 5.

The “Apollo X Tour” puts The Devil Wears Prada co-headlining with Motionless In White, and Upon a Burning Body, The Word Alive, and The Color Morale supporting, so fans going should have an intense night of entertainment.

Ten years into its career, The Devil Wears Prada recently experienced its first line-up change, with the band’s long-time keyboardist and guitarist/chief songwriter moving on. The three remaining core members brought in new players and set about writing Prada’s first wholly-collaborative effort – the “Space” EP, released in late August.

“Space” is an intense and cinematic collection of thematic songs that each explores different extra-terrestrial aspects – the sun, the moon, aliens, asteroids, and the interstellar space explorer. As one reviewer put it, “‘Space’ is an exceptional representation of where good metalcore is going nowadays.”

Check out the music video for the EP’s lead-off track, “Planet A” – not what you’d expect from a metalcore band.
