What’s Up Thursday?

Why is that when you wake up on a Thursday morning, you just feel like it’s Friday? I think it’s because there are so many amazing shows that usually come in on a Thursday, and tonight is no exception. Here are some great choices to fill your evening:

Identity Festival is a raver’s dream! Check out acts like Eric Prydz, Wolfgang Gartner, and Noisia to nationally known locals Le Castle Vania, Street Lurkin, and Rrrump! at Aaron’s Amphitheater at Lakewood, and make sure to bring your glowsticks.

-Legendary New Orleans roots rock band, Dash Rip Rock will be at the Peachtree Tavern tonight!

-Atlanta singer/songwriter Andy Liechty is a multi-intrumentalist, and is playing Smith’s Olde Bar.

Alexz Johnson is a Canadian singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. With her success in TV and film over the years she has built a supportive following which has allowed her to pursue her passion for creating a unique pop/soul/folk sound. In early 2012 Alexz launched a Kickstarter campaign in which she raised funds to support her U.S. touring debut… this summer’s Skipping Stone Tour. See her tonight at Vinyl.

-A trio of powerful singer/songwriters are descending upon Eddie’s Attic this evening. Head to Decatur to see Beth Wood, James Casto, Jesse Terry, & Matt Blanchard.

-The redheaded, rapping, renegade, Kitty Pryde, is an internet sensation who will be spilling all over East Atlanta tonight at the 529.

-Indie rockers, The Head, are at The Earl tonight and will be joined by Paul Melancon.

-Atlanta’s hardest rockers are putting on a free show tonight at Star Bar. Make sure to check out Wolves & Jackals, God’s Balls, Manic, Uberchrist, Dropout.

-From the first time I saw Marshall Ruffin, I was hooked! This amazingly talented bluesman will be at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park as they present “Unfiltered Live.”
