What’s up Wednesday?

There are several reasons to love Nashville, but the last couple of days it is abundantly clear to me that you just never know who you are going to run into, so always look your best. For example, while sitting at my favorite burger place Burger Up the other day, Kesha sat next to me and Jack White and friend came in and had dinner. Then yesterday, while getting coffee, Patrick Carney from The Black Keys sat right next to me, while enjoying his latte. But even WEIRDER, later last night, while at The Basement (downstairs from the legendary Grimey’s Record Shop) I ran into two of my favorite Atlanta boys, Jeremiah Edmond (Favorite Gentelemen) and Tim Sweetwood (Masquerade)! This is the “Only in Nashville” pheneom. Makes me excited to see what will happen tonight. Here are a couple of things for you to do in da ATL.

– Auguste Arthur Bondy, aka A.A. Bondy, is a bad ass Alabama folk/alternative artist whose music has been featured on the likes of House, Bones, and One Tree Hill. I guarantee you won’t regret this show, he just played a packed house here in Nashvegas. Check him out tonight at The Earl.

-According to our brethren over at Paste Magazine, Hank and Cupcakesinfectiously poppy self-titled EP is a four-track teaser to their frenetic live shows, where Cupcakes, clad in Chuck Taylors and spandex dresses, stands to bang her drum kit and puts down her sticks to catalyze dance parties in front of the stage.” Good enough for me. See them tonight at Vinyl.

-For a little R&B loving, head over to Center Stage, where Savannah born, Anthony David, will be swooning the ladies along side, Kindred the Family Soul, and Choklate.

-It’s a night full of wonderful acoustic guitars tonight at Eddie’s Attic! British singer-songwriter-guitarist, Bobby Long’s, anticipated debut studio album, A Winter Tale, produced by Liam Watson (White Stripes) was released in February of 2011 on ATO Records. He plays tonight with Nashville songstress Sarah Siskind.
