Good morning, Atlanta, and happy Wednesday! We know Wednesdays can be hard, so we recommend checking out a few awesome shows to help keep the mid-week madness at bay.

MammaBear w/ The Mighty Stef @ The EARL

Although conceived as a one-man band with studio-only aspirations, MammaBear is now a band being primed by Kyle Gordon for upcoming shows to promote the release. After years of navigating the politics of working with other musicians, Gordon finally set out on his own, playing each instrument to achieve a more accurate representation of his vision. Along with a new album and a new band, Gordon is also launching a new independent record label called No Ego Records.

Tickets are $5. Doors open at 8:30pm. Online, phone, and outlet sales close at 6pm.

Michael Magno and Morgan Rowe Band @ Eddie’s Attic

Magno – derived from the Latin adjective magna, meaning “of greatness”… Somewhere in the definition, Michael Magno inherited the drive to become a serious singer/songwriter. Spoon-fed his influences by radio-loving parents, Michael wrote his first song at age 14 and never looked back. By today’s standards, you can compare him to such contemporaries as Bruno Mars and OneRepublic, with a smooth vocal reminiscent of Sting or Marvin Gaye.

Tickets are $8 in advance, $12 at the door. Online and phone sales close at 5pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
