AMG Weekend Picks: The Rosebuds, Decatur Beach Party, White Denim and More!

We’re still getting over the fact that Adele won’t be playing this weekend (feel better Adele!) at The Tabernacle, but there’s a ton of great gigs and festivals to choose from, including the sweet Midsummer Music and Food Festival in Candler Park!

Thursday, June 16 – The Rosebuds at The EARL

Married-now-divorced, but somehow still a writing and performing duo, The Rosebuds return to Atlanta to regale you with tunes about their love lost.

Friday, June 17 – Decatur Beach Party at The Old Courthouse Square

60 tons of sand, wading pools, boardwalk games and more makes Decatur’s annual Beach Party a huge destination for families and cool kids alike. Just don’t forget your sunscreen!

Friday, June 17 – White Denim at The Drunken Unicorn

Austin’s White Denim keep getting better with age, and their latest release D has fans and critics gushing over their cool psychedelic garage rock styles. See what all the fuss is about at The Drunken Unicorn this weekend.

Saturday, June 18 – The Black Jacket Symphony Presents The Beatles: Abbey Road at Masquerade

Feeling a bit retro? Catch the incredible Black Jacket Symphony’s brilliant rendition of The Beatles’ Abbey Road on Saturday.

Saturday, June 18 – Midsummer Music and Food Fest

We can’t wait for this free music festival at Candler Park this Saturday. They’ve got excellent sounds from Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Dr. Dog and more, and excellent nosh from The Pup Truck, The Fry Guy, Yumbii and loads of other great food trucks. Admission to the festival is free, but wristbands to drink will cost you.
