Georgia Music Partners promotes the business of music and related music technology in the state of Georgia.

It was formed to motivate this state’s musicians, music professionals, educators and legislators to work together to further develop Georgia’s music industry spur creativity and promote innovation that will generate opportunity and prosperity for all.

Their next networking event is Thursday, April 25th from 5:30-7:30 at The Defoor Centre for “Buy Local…Music That Is” an educational panel about alternate avenues for custom music placement.

Georgia’s music history is rich and diverse. Internationally acclaimed artists from all genres call Georgia home: Gospel, Country, Classical, Hip Hop, Rock, Christian, R&B, New Age and Indie Rock. In an ever evolving technological world, musical avenues are changing.

This panel discussion will discuss ways in which advertising agencies, production companies, game developers, new media companies can resource Georgia based artists, studios, musicians etc…

The creative economy is a powerful engine for growth and music intersects all the different sectors – film, digital media, advertising, etc. We’ll discuss the topic of how we can develop closer working relationships and partnerships with these sectors?
