Roots-reggae artist Cas Haley celebrates a return to music after an injury-induced hiatus, releasing his new album Nov. 6 and plying Atlanta’s Center Stage in December.

Haley teamed up with Jimmy Buffet’s label, Mailboat Records, to release More Music More Family, an album that explores the importance of family and positivity.

His previous releases charted twice on Billboard’s top 10 Best Selling Reggae Albums, first hitting #8 for his self-titled album, and rose to #2 for his debut release of Connection (Easy Star Records). But then a serious skiing accident interrupted his career and left him without the ability to sing.

During Haley’s eight months of physical therapy treatments he reflected on what the injury meant to the future of his career and his family. Those reflections became channeled into an album’s worth of material and the concept for More Music More Family was born.

Co-produced by Tubby Love and recorded in Kauai, Hawaii, More Music More Family entwines roots-reggae, soul, pop-rhythms and a generous helping of Hawaiian tranquility.

Center Stage is located at 1374 West Peachtree Street in Atlanta. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the Dec. 5 show starts at 9 p.m.

Tickets – $15- available at centerstage-atlanta.com
