Award-winning singer/songwriter Eliot Bronson’s self-titled new release was tracked entirely analog in Nashville by acclaimed producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Rival Sons, Jason Isbell, Nikki Lane). It’s a vibey, ten-song album with an uncluttered production aesthetic that highlights Bronson’s songwriting and his achingly beautiful vocals. Voted as “Best Songwriter” this year in Creative Loafing’s Best of ATL, this is one performer you will not want to miss live. His CD release party will be at Eddie’s Attic this Saturday, Oct. 25 at 9:30pm. Buy the album directly from Eliot Bronson’s website today!

Tickets are $15 advance, $18 day of show. Show is at 9:30pm.

Primus – Primus & The Chocolate Factory (ATO Records)

Primus

The definitive Primus line-up – Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, and drummer Tim Alexander – is back together and set to release their first full-length studio set in nearly 20 years, Primus & the Chocolate Factory. “The recording is about my early perception of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film,” says Claypool. “The notion wasn’t so much to go in and redo the soundtrack note for note as much as it was to utilize the classic elements of the music yet try to reflect some of the darker undertones of the Roald Dahl books, because when you read those books, there is an eerie and somewhat menacing aspect implied.” Get the full album on Primus’ website and get ready to have a funky weird time.

Ben Howard – I Forget Where We Were (Universal Republic)

Ben Howard

I Forget Where We Were follows the release of Ben’s hugely successful debut album, Every Kingdom. Every Kingdom, released in October 2011 sold in excess of 1 million copies globally, received a Mercury Music Prize nomination, and was the catalyst for Ben picking up two Brit Awards in 2012 for British Breakthrough and British Solo Male Artist. His sophomore release is sure to win both fans and critics over with his intense vocals and beautiful melodies. Snag your own copy of I Forget Where We Were on Ben’s website now.

The Budos Band – Burnt Offering (Daptone)

The Budos Band

Following their 2010 release of The Budos Band III, Burnt Offering is The Budos Band’s first album out in four years, recorded at their longtime Staten Island studio with Tom Brenneck (Charles Bradley, Cee-Lo Green). According to a press release, the 10-track effort is “dripping with the psychedelic sounds of early heavy metal fused with the tight-knit propulsion of Fela Kuti” and “sparked by their love of Black Sabbath and Pentagram.” We couldn’t agree more. Get your own copy on their website now!
