Sons of Fathers with Special Guest Marc Scibilia

Legendary producer Lloyd Maines put it best when he described Sons of Fathers as “The Everly Brothers meets Neil Young and Merle Haggard and The Clash.” Rolling Stone has already praised the album’s “wide open roots and folk rock,” while CMT described it as “rip-roaring Texas rock studded with gospel-influenced harmonies,” and Paste called it “soulful.” The catalog they’ve written reflects elements of all their most righteous influences. Be it a country shuffle reminiscent of Robert Earl Keen, an Americana folk song steeped in the lyrical weight of Bob Dylan, or a genre-bending tune recalling the Beatles, Sons of Fathers possess something unique.

Doors at 9 p.m. Tickets: GA $10 in advance, $14 at the door. Table seats are $12.50 and must be purchased in multiples of 4. Online and phone sales close at 5 p.m.

lily&madeline

Lily & Madeleine with Special Guest Shannon Hayden at Eddie’s Attic

When the sisters began writing together just over a year ago, nobody expected their first song, “In the Middle,” to rack up a quarter of a million YouTube views. There’s something inherently incongruous about the music of Lily & Madeleine, a pair of slight teenagers with singing voices this assured and worldly. The Weight of the Globe sounds like something out of another age, not the work of a pair of sisters born less than two decades ago and raised in Indianapolis, the Midwest of the Midwest. No wonder that, on the strength of their viral video performances, the sisters managed to sell out the first two live shows of their career and quickly recruit the help of Asthmatic Kitty Records to release the EP.

Doors at 6:30 p.m. Tickets: GA $8 in advance, $12 at the door. Table seats are $10 in advance and must be purchased in multiples of 4. Online and phone sales close at 5 p.m.

Random Rab and Govinda at Terminal West

Emerging from his own distinct corner of the West Coast electronic music scene, Random Rab offers a powerful and unique contribution to sonic exploration. Often referred to as “The Master of Emotion” his music is patently beautiful and melodic. With diverse influences ranging from trip-hop, classical and Arabic to bass driven compositions, his songs are considered anthemic and timeless. As a multi-instrumentalist and singer, his tracks are organic, uplifting and stand on their own as a distinct genre. Listeners of all types of music can find something they can relate to in this sound.
