We know it’s the holidays but that doesn’t mean you can’t check out a Monday show! Today’s roundup features a few shows that are perfect for those of us that are balling on a budget due to all this gift shopping – ranging from FREE to $6 – you can enjoy a night out for close to nothing.

Songwriter’s Open Mic @ Eddie’s Attic

Over 20 years strong, Eddie’s Attic Songwriter’s Open Mic Night is one of the most renowned open mic nights in Atlanta. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in the venue’s bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet the next big stars.

Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door. Table seats are $6.25 each and must be purchased in multiples of 4. Doors open at 7pm.

Skymatic @ Aisle 5

Atlanta based Skymatic is a project that is the culmination of years of classical training and experience writing and performing in a wide variety of musical genres. The duo, consisting of Phil Ross (production/synth/guitar) and Hannah Wilder (violin/vocals), blend elements from a wide range of genres including violin-infused electronic and hip-hop beats that can best be described as “melodic electronic.” They will be performing a free show at the new Aisle 5 (formerly The Five Spot) in Little 5 Points.

Mighty Mo & More! @ The Fox Theatre

A special holiday event featuring the movie Home Alone, join Fox’s organist in residence Larry Douglas Embury along with guest organist Ken Double playing the Mighty Mo organ for a concert and sing-along hosted by Atlanta CW69’s Wendell Scott. Other performers include Stephenson High School Choir directed by Dr. Vada M. Coleman and Variety Stars of Tomorrow winner Hannah French!

Tickets are $2.50. Sing-Along starts at 7:30pm.
