What’s Up Thursday?

Are you guys ready for the goodness that this weekend is about to bring to you? Seriously, you really have no excuse not to be doing something fun this weekend!

-Tonight at the Tabernacle, Amon Tobin stuns with his mix  between drum’n’bass, ambient music, dub, hip-hop, and hard bop jazz.

-You might recognize as the amazing lead guitar of Collective Soul, but Joel Kosche is bringing his own band and swag to The 120 Tavern & Music Hall tonight.

Twin Shadow recently previewed songs from Confess live at the Sweetlife festival a couple of weeks ago, held at famed Maryland venue the Merriweather Post Pavilion, along with an intimate for-fans-only show at Brooklyn’s Glasslands, followed by a notable appearance at last week’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival. He is playing The Earl this evening.

-From Gulfport, MS, Rosco Bandana puts on an upbeat, fun, rock show. Blending folk, alt-country, and rock, the band brings their own southern style to the Smith’s Olde Bar stage.

-On their previous recordings, “20,000 Ghosts” and “Wellwisher,” The Rocketboys perfectly married themes of unity and brotherhood with rich, soaring rock, lifting the band to national critical acclaim. See them tonight at Vinyl.

-Come see the live band performance from Erix S. Laurent & Teepee that has CMJ and bloggers across the country so interested. Only of course at The Basement at Graveyard Tavern.
