Here’s a quick look at the best upcoming events in Atlanta this weekend Thursday, February 21st through Sunday, 24th!

All The Saints w/ Solar Flower & Hospice at The EARL

Thursday, February 21st at 9:00pm

Event Link

Atlanta-based trio All the Saints derive their sound from blues-rock, psychedelia, and early heavy metal. Titus, Matt, and Jim, who prefer to go by first names only, met in Alabama but later relocated to Atlanta. After several months of jam sessions, All the Saints hit upon a sound they described as “’70s psychedelia and classic dark riffs.” Intense live shows led to a passionate regional fan base and critical acclaim.

The End of the World Tour, with Gungor, The Brilliance, and Propaganda at The Loft

Friday, February 22nd at 7:00pm

GUNGOR:
Michael and Lisa Gungor are curators of the Grammy-nominated musical collective simply known as Gungor. The duo uses their skills as accomplished song writers and multi-instrumentalists to tell honest and forthright stories – some personal and some allegorical. Together they’ve tapped their considerable musical reserves to blur genres and break expectations creating a unique magnetic expression.

THE BRILLIANCE:
The Brilliance creates art that inspires empathy. Their acoustic-electronic, symphonic-pop songs invite you to step outside yourself; to see the world through the eyes of the other, the stranger, those you may consider your enemy. From EDM anthems to classical piano solos injected with jazz harmony, their sound spans too many genres to count – but it all works together to create an environment for self-reflection and hope for peace.

Red Sea (Album Release Show) w/ Locate S,1 & Paradise Montage at 529

Saturday, February 23rd at 9:00pm

Event Link

Minimal R&B has found a rightful revival in contemporary compositions, perhaps of subconscious interest in the indie persuasion thanks to a renewed cultural interest in vulnerability. Though Red Sea has been emotive since their early guitar-driven advent almost a decade ago, “I’m You” is a surest saturation of the hyper-saccharine we’ve seen from this ATL-based group yet, an endearing ballad, reminiscent of glossy 90’s gold. As musical shapeshifters, from eager indie rock, fresh-faced in the fledgling of youth, to math-stained art-punk, Red Sea has had a distinctive style of their own regardless of genre flirtations. With prog undertones no stranger to any era, whether in past post-punk or current electro-pop focus, the quartet always conjures thoughtful (and sometimes cryptic) output, their most recent work exploring more delicate energies. – Wussy Mag

The-Dream at Center Stage

THIS SOLD-OUT SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED TO CENTER STAGE. LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE!

Beside frequent songwriting and production partners Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Carlos “Los Da Mystro” McKinneyTerius “The-Dream” Nash advanced electronic pop-R&B during the 2000s and 2010s, continuing a path cut by the likes of Leon Sylvers IIIKashifPrinceJimmy Jam and Terry LewisTeddy RileyTimbaland and Missy Elliott, and the Neptunes. After a series of modest strides, Nash became a true force with Rihanna‘s “Umbrella” (2007) and proved that it wasn’t a fluke by topping the chart the following year with Mariah Carey‘s “Touch My Body” and Beyoncé‘s Grammy-winning “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” Nash simultaneously began a run with Def Jam as a recording artist, sculpting the melodically rich and impeccably layered Top Five R&B/hip-hop albums Love/Hate (2007), Love vs. Money (2009), and Love King (2010). Nash also became a go-to collaborator for rap artists, exemplified by Grammy-winning material with Kanye West and Jay-Z (“All of the Lights,” “No Church in the Wild”).
