Minus The Bear is a Seattle-based,  indie-rock band that has earned quite a name for themselves in the festival circuit, playing high profile fests across the country, including: Riot Fest, Lollapalooza, Sasquatch, Coachella and Bonnaroo. The group emerged on the indie music scene in 2001 with the release of their EP titled, This is What I Know About Being Gigantic. Minus The Bear was formed by guitarist David Knudson, bassist Cory Murchy and drummer Erin Tate. Not long after the initial formation, the guys were joined by frontman/guitarist Jake Snider and keyboardist/saxophonist/vocalist Alex Rose to complete the quintet.
