Don’t let the Monday Blues get you down! Check out one of these shows tonight!

Alex Cooley Presents: Kevn Kinney & special guests Cystic Fibrosis Benefit at Eddie’s Attic

“We’ve spent the better part of the last five years criss crossing the deepest dirtiest beautiful American South. We are here to entertain. In the bars, so filled with smoke you could hardly recognize a true fire. People have come to see what you got. We show up for the show and wade through a crowd as diverse as the music we’re gonna play tonight. There’s a girl with a tattoo of Dale Earnharts number 3 on her neck. Drifters, grifters, gonna be’s and has beens. Country folk. City folk. Workin’ folk. ‘Remember you can’t be a folk singer if you got no folks to sing to.’ I said that… And these folks expect music all night long… three sets… and requests…”

General admission tickets are $20 in advance, $26 at the door. Table seats are $25 and must be purchased in multiples of 4. Online, phone, and outlet sales close at 5pm on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:30pm.

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT & ANIMALS AS LEADERS at Center Stage

Townsend is no stranger to musical diversity, and 2011 saw him complete a four-album cycle – Ki, Addicted, Deconstruction and Ghost – of which no two releases sounded similar. Yet Epicloud takes his love of multiple genres to a new level: “I’ve rarely done the same things twice”, Townsend says, “but as I’ve grown as a musician, one of the things I’ve learned is that it should be possible to make different genres ‘play ball’ with each other while illustrating a common theme.” Epicloud is a time in the creative cycle of Townsend that is unique and very specific. It celebrates the music of his past while looking forward to the future. A mixture of moods and styles summarizes Epicloud and the DTP to date, but this is not meant as a ‘definition’ of a career, rather a celebratory moment of creative liberation that isn’t held down by genre expectation.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 on the day of the show. Doors open at 7pm.
