What’s Up Thursday?

Happy Happy Thursday y’all! We are almost to the weekend, and I am particularly excited about this because my birthday is on Sunday! So in honor of my birthday, let’s all just start the festivities early and start the weekend NOW!  There are a ton of great shows happening tonight!

-The ever-so entrancing, M. Ward is at the Buckhead Theater tonight with Lee Ranaoldo.

-I very recently got introduced to JB & the Moonshine Band, and now I proudly rock their “Beer for Breakfast” t-shirt constantly! Make sure and check out these honky-tonkin Texans at Peachtree Tavern.

-The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide. Lineup for tonight’s “Harmony for Life” includes: Joyscout, Christopher Alan Yates, Herb Jones, Jesse Tyler and the Neighbors, Bucky Motter, and The Lovely Drifters tonight at Eddie’s Attic.

-Indie darlings, Sleeper Agent are back in Atlanta tonight at The Basement at Graveyard Tavern. Joining them are Turf War and Death on Two Wheels for what definitely will be a rambunctious show.

-You can never go wrong at the 529 if you are trying to see what’s going to be trendy next month. Tonight check out Dark Dark Dark with Back Pockets.

-Portland indie folk rockers, Horse Feathers are in Atlanta tonight at The Earl.

-“Afro-punk” rockers, Tragedy Called Truth are hitting up Vinyl tonight.

Wednesday If Not Before is a group of multi-instrumentalists came together in the spring of ’06, after some individual successes around the southeastern music scene. Catch them at Smith’s Olde Bar.
