What’s Up Thursday?

You know, I woke up today in a bit of a gloomy mood…. I was letting the negative words and actions of those around me effect my being. And then I open up my email this morning and read about a friend who has leukemia and is going through his third stem cell research program. And then, I turned on my music, and “Politik” by Coldplay was playing. It made me reconsider my outlook. Hope your day is filled with good thoughts.

-It’s a big night at Eddie’s Attic where Jason Isbell will be doing a special acoustic show. Pitchfork says “Isbell is an invigorating songwriter and one of the better lyricists of his generation.” Isbell has since been on the road with his band, the 400 Unit, playing hundreds of shows across the US since the release of his latest record, 2011’s Here We Rest. Lately Isbell has been touring with fellow songwriter Ryan Adams across the US, Australia and into Europe in a rare solo acoustic setting. Isbell will be more solo acoustic shows in the US through the summer and fall.
