What’s Up Tuesday? March 12th

Natural Vibrations
It’s a beautiful day in Atlanta and what makes it even better is that there are some great shows going on tonight! If you want to kick it with friends and listen to some awesome music, then look no further! Here’s the lineup for tonight:

Natural Vibrations @ Smith’s Olde Bar
Natural Vibrations, aka Natural Vibes or Natty Vibes, is Hawai’i’s most popular and acclaimed band from the Windward side of O’ahu. They started out as a group of friends who loved playing music and went from playing backyard parties to headlining some of Hawai’is biggest shows and venues. Since 1996 they’ve recorded 6 full length albums featuring a sound with strong roots in reggae, rock and pop. Their unique musical blend combined with a party and dance energy has allowed them share the stage with artists like Prince, 311, Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley, UB40, Jack Johnson, Pepper and SOJA, to name a few.

An Evening with Stevens Layne @ Eddie’s Attic
Molly Stevens and Whitney Layne formed a dynamic duo after meeting in Nashville Tennessee in 2010. Stevens Layne separately and together have opened for acts including Keith Anderson, Ty Herndon, Rodney Atkins, The Indigo Girls, Kelli Pickler, Josh Gracin, Lori Morgan, and Jaime Johnson.
Stevens Layne encompasses honest and raw lyrics with a soulful and pure sound. Stevens and Layne are two different people, but the core of truth, passion and deep rooted soul is found in their music together.

Masta Killa (of Wu Tang Clan) w/ Lyrics @ 529
The most quiet and mysterious Wu-Tang member, Masta Killa rarely speaks during public appearances and interviews and very little is known about him. Masta Killa was the last member to release a solo project, after it was delayed for several years and finally released in June 2004 with the title No Said Date; critically acclaimed, it became independent label Nature Sounds’ best-selling album, notable for featuring every core member of the Wu-Tang Clan on the album after a period in the group’s history that lacked unity. In 2012 he released his 3rd album entitled “Selling My Soul”, an LP with heavy soul grooves as a precursor to his long awaited announced album “Loyalty Is Royalty”, on December 11 with guests Kurupt & the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

French Montana @ The Masquerade
French Montana is one of the hottest rappers in the game right now. The Bronx representing rapper waded through a fierce bidding war when several labels began taking interest. Among these, were Def Jam, Warner Bros. and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. Yet, when all was said and done, Montana came afloat announcing that he was ready to ride the wave with hip hop impresario Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Records (via Interscope Records). Acclaimed projects including his Mac & Cheese and Coke Wave series of mixtapes established his rep as a hustler with legit rhyme skills that listeners could steadily gravitate to. French Montana is now on tour promoting his debut album.
