5GB With Jupiter Coyote; Playing Peachtree Tavern, Dec. 21

In the course of their 23 year history, Jupiter Coyote has played over four thousand shows, traveled everywhere and done just about everything a touring band can do. The innovative group has independently sold well over half a million CDs, tens of thousands of downloads, and who knows how many bootlegs loose to fans for free. JC is brand name and still trucking along, despite today’s ever-changing, increasingly unpredictable music scene. They joined us for our 5GB series before their show.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

I think I was about 4-5 years old, my dad ran a summer camp for boys in Brevard NC and they had a dance with a girls camp in the gym one night. They had a live band. I don’t remember the name of the band but I remember them playing “Joy To The World” by Three Dog Night. I was hook on rock n roll.
