AMG Weekend Picks: B.o.B., 100 Monkeys, Drivin N Cryin and More!

[ 0 ] December 23, 2010 |

This weekend, you are probably going to be in one of two camps. 1) You’ll be wrapped up in a happy cocoon of Christmastime, joyfully taking part of all the eating, presents, caroling and sleeping. Or, 2) You’ll be gritting your teeth, trying to find a way to escape the family and pressure of making this the perfect Christmas. Or you might have a combination of the two, with number 2) arriving later. At any rate, you might need to dash to a good show for a little drink and some rock ‘n’ roll. In which case, we have the perfect bunch of solutions for you, below.

Thursday, December 23 – Whatever You Believe In Holiday Bash at Vinyl

Vinyl is bringing a ton of great music, with DJ Airwolf and DJ Money $hot spinning hot tunes and bands like Blue Hotel, No Bruises and Animal And The Evolvers rocking. Your $5 donation goes to support Volunteer Experiences.

Friday, December 24 – B.o.B. at Smith’s: The Homecoming at Smith’s Olde Bar

Saturday, December 25 – Hand of Doom, Ted Kennedys at The EARL

There are still a couple of tickets available for this show at The EARL, featuring improv-heavy music mischief, and, as many a squealing girl has realized, Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone.

Georgia alt-country boys-done-good Drivin N Cryin will be playing a special holiday show at The Tabernacle for those who have stayed at home for the Christmas weekend.
