Nashville’s Natural Child is Back in Atlanta Tonight!

By Jhoni Jackson

If you’re looking for a tame Friday night, be forewarned: 529 is not an option. Last time Natural Child played the East Atlanta venue, they threw a rock ‘n’ roll punch of a party that left few folks unaffected by rogue PBR cans soaring above the crowd.

Natural Child’s first LP, 1971, was released via JEFF the Brotherhood’s Infinity Cat label just last April. But the dudes plan to drop a total of three full-lengths this year—two of which will come courtesy of Burger Records.

Tonight also serves as the kickoff of a 10-show tour for The Boom Bang (Oklahoma City) and Turf War, a bunch of local fun-rock purveyors who blast garage with catchy melodies and typically throw in a stellar cover of CCR’s “Bad Moon Rising.”

Natural Child, Turf War, The Boom Bang at 529 (529 Flat Shoals Ave.), 9 p.m. Free.
