What’s Up Wednesday?

Happy Halloween Atlanta!! Are you dressed up? I must admit that I am sitting here typing dressed up as a Mariachi girl, which definitely makes work a little bit more interesting! There is obviously a TON of awesome events to go to tonight, so just please make me a promise and BE SAFE!! Here are our suggestions!

-California-based rockers Primus bring their experimental show — which utilizes a special 3-D backdrop screen — to the Tabernacle.

The Stokeswood & Jungol Halloween tradition continues! This year Stokeswood will be performing Talking Heads’ “Stop Making Sense” concert in its entirety. Jungol will be dawning a Mars Volta musical costume and what better company to kick off the scary night than fellow SXSW performers Gun Party! Music Matters Productions will also be in the house to LIGHT up the night at The Earl!!!

-“A freaker’s holiday bash hosted by the not so mysterious Western Sizzlers, whose tongue-in-cheek country rock is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and a shuffle to your feet. The twangy Cletis & His City Cousins make a perfect match for the opener. Cowboy drag is allowed.” CL See for yourself at Smith’s Olde Bar.

-New Jersey quintet Titus Andronicus play a show in support of its latest, Local Business — which finds the group returning to its punk roots. Tonight at the 529.

-A citizen of Israel, Great Britain and the United States, Guy Mendilow spent his most formative years playing hopscotch between continents when his musician-turned-professor father was invited to a succession of teaching posts. From early childhood on, most aspects of Mendilow’s life were a cultural, linguistic and musical mix. He is at Steve’s Live Music tonight.

Sick/Sea is a small town bother/sister Texas band that blends sounds of Indie, Jazz, Rock, and even a breath of Hardcore. The evening of music will include a costume contest and the winner will receive 2 drinks and a copy of Sick/Sea’s new EP, Moral Compass. Catch Sick Sea, Native Suns, and Skies Revolt tonight at Drunken Unicorn!
