Prince is planning on releasing 3 albums in 2009, without the help of a record label. The albums will be available digitally through a new and improved Prince website, and a major retailer is said to be in talks to sell the albums phsycially.
Prince's last studio album Planet Earth was released in July of 2007, first with a U.K. newspaper and then worldwide through Columbia Records.
Way to go Prince. That’s a lot of work, 3 albums in one year. Kind of reminds me how the Notorious BIG has a movie and a soundtrack album coming out called Notorious. I personally prefer Biggie to Prince. Check out the movie.
