What’s Up Tuesday?

Today is the 7th day in a row in March that it’s been over 80 degrees. Just broke the record that was set in 1907. Wow, it is officially Spring. OR perhaps Mother Nature decided to skip all of it, and go straight to summer. Either way, enjoy the day!

– “Keyboardist/songwriter Thomas Dolby calls this the “Time Capsule Tour” so named because of the titular trailer that sits outside the venue where fans can record 30 second messages to the future. Musically, this looks to be a multimedia extravaganza, as Dolby revisits his ’80s techno-pop hits and plays new songs from a recently released soundtrack to a video game he created.” –Creative Loafing. See him tonight at The Loft.

-Indie rockers Polica, fronted by their mysterious front woman, Channey, will be at the Drunken Unicorn tonight.

-The Alliance Theatre’s upcoming production, GHOST BROTHERS OF DARKLAND COUNTY, features a blues and roots tinged score with music and lyrics by John Mellencamp and book by Stephen King. To accomplish what has been described as a “ghost story/rock concert mashup,” the actors in the cast must be true musicians. Eddie’s Attic is excited to partner with the Alliance Theatre to bring these talented actor/musician hybrids to our stage.

-Although declared “one of the 25 best bands on MySpace” by Rolling Stone in late 2006, Miniature Tigers rose to wider attention with the release of their 2008 debut. Check them out tonight at The Masquerade.
